apprenticeship scheme, part of a contribution to a European project on training
and education for health care (QCA for REVIMP project, 2006)

Participation in PepCAA,
a European project to develop formative computer assisted assessment on
psychology for teachers 2002-04 (FIM
(University of Erlangen) for European Commission under Minerva programme)
·
Evaluation
of e-learning provision for higher education courses in Information Technology
developed in the GENIUS project, 2002/03 (project funded by the European
Commission and managed by Reading University)

Project
to investigate company methodologies for identifying, assessing and accrediting
'non-formal learning' (CEDEFOP, 2000-02)

Manager
of project to evaluate the computer-delivered assessments resulting from 18
pilot projects in the SOCRATES and LEONARDO programmes (European Commission,
1998; further evaluation in 2001)

Project
manager of EC-funded LEONARDO project on Computer Assisted Assessment in the
Workplace, January 1996 to April 1999 and follow-up Multiplier project

Survey
of databases of vocational qualifications in EC member states, followed by
exploration of potential for networking these databases, development of
prototype and survey of potential users (CEDEFOP, 1992-3)

Participation
in first invitational conference on databases for Education and training in
Europe (CEDEFOP, 1988) and in subsequent activities of EUDAT (European
Association of Databases)
·
Authoring
publications on qualifications and certification in the UK for CEDEFOP and the
International Labour Office; co-authoring publications comparing UK systems
with those elsewhere in Europe.
